To go to a specific place or page on the Internet

1. On the File menu, choose Open Location, or click the button on the tool bar.
2. Type the address, and then click Open.

To go to a specific place or page on your hard disk

1. On the File menu, choose Open File.
2. On the Show pull-down menu, choose the type of file you want.
3. Find the file you want to open, and then click Open.

Tips

• Click Open In New Window to display the page in a new window.
• You can also open a page on your hard disk by dragging the page to the Microsoft Internet Explorer window.
• You can also go directly to a place or page on the Internet by typing its address in the address bar. If you can't see the address bar, on the View menu, choose Address Bar.
